Services
Whatever problems you are having with your horse I will endeavour to help you set them right. If it is something I haven't come across before, or an issue I'm initially uncertain of how to deal with...have no fear!
I will go and make certain I do all the research necessary to provide you with the best service possible, and together we will get to the root of the problem, and begin to solve it!
Most issues however, are fairly common. My ''top ten'' list below covers the most common issues I will deal with, but again, any others, please don't hesitate to ask :)

I use a problem solving approach to find the cause of the unwanted behaviour. Whether it be due to pain*, fear or simply learned to misbehave, we can get through it together!
If the problem is caused by a genuine fear you will be shown how to overcome this by using systematic desensitization using baby steps to habituate the horse to the 'scary' object. (This can be time consuming to start with but is very effective)
If the problem is a learned misbehaviour we use a technique called counter conditioning where either the horse is rewarded for the behaviour we want him to show or made to work harder if the does the 'naughty' behaviour.

*If at any point I feel that the problem is due to some form of pain either from an
injury or ill fitting tack, I will advise you to seek veterinary advice. They
may then refer you to a physiotherapist and/or you may be advised to get in
touch with a saddle fitter.
